CCT Celebrates 26 Years

Corporate members, board members, staff and community partners, and guests of the Center for Community Transformation Group of Ministries recently gathered to celebrate 26 years of unwavering service to the Filipino poor.

Having the theme Like a Well-Watered Garden inspired by Isaiah 58:11 and Psalm 1:3, the anniversary celebration was a testimony of God’s faithfulness to CCT over the years.

Todd Engelsen, president of PEER Servants, graced the event as guest speaker.

“Our Father God is the gardener of this well-watered garden that we see in CCT. People will continue to come from around the world to see your ministry and to ask God how they can be a part of it . . . May God give you the wisdom you need to become an even greater well-watered garden not only in 2017 but for many years to come, and a garden that will extend the beauty of the Kingdom of Heaven not only in the Philippines but to the ends of the earth,” Todd stated at the end of his message.

Earlier in the event, CCT President and Founder Ruth Callanta reported on 2016 highlights, 12 individuals were accepted as new corporate members, board members were elected, and important matters for 2017 were decided.

Ruth Callanta’s book, A Question of the Heart, was also launched during the gathering. The book celebrates the CCT journey of transformation, of helping people and helping them lead Christ-centered lives.

Two other CCT publications were also launched: Volumes 1 & 2 of the Message Outlines by CCT Chairperson Bertram Lim and co-author Edmon Ngo, and the coffee table book Reflections documented by partners from Australia and New Zealand.

The anniversary celebration and general assembly was held on March 30, 2017 at Wack Wack Golf and Country Club in Mandaluyong City.
